Sephora Haul – 10 Second Reviews

So as another 15% shopping event has come and gone, I reflect back on the multiple orders I have made and thought I would share some of what i purchased and some initial thoughts on what I have received. I will do full reviews on those products deemed worthy.

Ouai Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner – used this once so far, I love the smell of both the shampoo and conditioner. My hair has turned into a frizzy hot mess these past couple of years and this hasn’t really helped to improve the situation. I will continue to use as I do enjoy the smell and my hair did feel soft.

Ouai Hair Oil – why oh why do i keep buying hair oils? I have super frizzy, very fine hair that just doesn’t love oil. I tried this once after the smooth shampoo and conditioner. My hair is soft and the oil smells great but not totally sold on this yet. Will continue to try it.

Consonant DHE mask – I was lured in by all the glowing results (of glowing skin). I have tried it once. It is slightly tingly and smells like eucalyptus. I was a little worried about how much of a clay texture it had and that it might be a bit too drying for my already dry face. I was pleasantly suprised when i washed it off my face didn’t feel super tight and dry. No sign of aforementioned glow however. It did seem to enhane the already present redness though. Will try again.

Kevyn Aucoin The Pure Powder Glow blushes in Dolline and Natura – I was super excited about these as I am obsessed with blush. Opened them both up and took a look and thought “meh”. The colours were underwhelming in person. These are going back without trying. They were spendy and I wouldn’t mind having the money back instead.

Kevyn Aucoin The Foundation Brush – I was super excited to start using this with my newly beloved Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. The reviews are all pretty great and so i was pumped. I have been using this brush for a week or so and haven’t noticed a vast improvement over my Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring brush which is a quarter of the price. So if you are looking for a great foundation brush.. try the UD one first! Save some money.

This is just a couple of things that I bought and my initial impressions. Overall there was nothing standout in the orders I made and definitely not anything that I would repurchase.

I think i am most disappointed in the Ouai haircare as I had (probably misplaced) high hopes for this to destroy my frizz. Sadly a miracle worker it is not.
