I have taken it upon myself to find the perfect moisturizer/sunscreen and to share with the world (or the three people who read this – either/or). Summer is coming up so more than ever finding a moisturizing (but not too) product with SPF (but not too low) seems very important. I have been purchasing a bunch of different ones to try and see how they all stack up. My goal is to find the “one”.
So first up in the sunscreen line up I will talk about Avene Hydrance Optimale Riche SPF 20. This is a great moisturizer that happens to have SPF. It is best suited to dryer skin types as it is quite “Riche” as it says. It is reasonably priced as well. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, just provides moisture and a moderate (for me) amount of SPF protection. This one is my go to in the winter but I do find I want a higher SPF and something not quite so rich in the summer. If you struggle from very dry skin and dont want a high SPF this is always a great choice.
Radical Skin Perfecting Screen SPF 30 is a great option if you really just want a light sunscreen to go on top of a moisturizer you already love. This provides a nice pearly sheen and super light formula that feels like nothing on at all. I pair this with a moisturizer and I find that it doesn’t not feel dry nor too greasy at all. Again it feels like nothing on at all. That is a major score. No weird sunscreen smell AND it does do a little perfecting as well due to the pearlescent formula. This one is difficult to find in Canada but it totally worth checking out.
Stayed tuned for more reviews of other sunscreen formulas from Australia and Japan!
